Hvad skal jeg bruge Google Buzz til?
Så er der åbnet endnu en mulighed for at holde øje med dine venner og dulme din paranoia over ikke at vide, hvad vennerne snakker om. Samtidigt kan du nu få endnu en kanal at markedsføre dit ego på.
Det hedder ‘Google Buzz‘ og “Ja” – det er kun for sjov (og lidt for at provokere), at
jeg anlægger denne lidt grumpy-ol’-man tilgang til det.
Jeg har naturligvis kastet mig ud i det – koblet mig som follower til alle, jeg kender og næsten-kender og smidt en note ind i mylderet af noter, billeder og videofiler…. Og så sad jeg så og kiggede lidt på den!
Jeg kan ikke heeeeelt se fidusen. Det kan være det kommer, når jeg lige har brugt det lidt.
Facebook bruger jeg mest til privat sniksnak. Personligt overvejer jeg at ‘pensionere’ Facebook, da det faktisk er begrænset, hvad jeg får ud af det. Den allervæsentligste information, JEG får (og søger), er nyheder fra diverse ‘Groups‘ og ‘Pages‘ jeg er medlem af – Fra mit fodboldhold i Brabrand til bandet ‘Carpark North‘.
Fagligt spændende nyhedsstof fisker jeg på Twitter, som er langt hurtigere, langt mere direkte og laaaangt mere overskueligt.
Men hvad så med Google Buzz? Google hævder selv, at Buzz vil give dig mere relevant indhold. Det er i hvert fald ikke synligt fra starten, hvor det bare vælter ind med alt fra den nordlige halvkugles stjernehimmel til dagens fiskepriser i Hirtshals. På torsdage i februar er jeg pænt ligeglad med begge dele.
Men måske kommer det ved lidt længere tids brug. Jeg skal som nørd nok holde lidt øje med Buzz. Men jeg kan omvendt godt forstå, hvis mange stønner: “Åh nej, endnu en ny tjeneste vi skal forholde os til”.
Den gode Lars K. Jensen har på Medieblogger.dk beskrevet Google Buzz lidt bedre. Som han, vil jeg godt efterlyse bedre integration mellem de forskellige servicer. Dér er Facebook stadig langt bedre end Googles nye Buzz (der rimer bekymrende meget på ‘Stress‘).

Right down my alley, men jeg har alligevel lyst til at kommentere din sidebemærkning om Facebook. Personligt kan jeg nemlig ikke genkende din oplevelse af at Facebook skulle være overflødig.
På twitter tjekker jeg hvad mine guruer foretager sig. På Facebook tjekker jeg hvad venner og bekendte foretager sig.
På twitter kender jeg typisk ikke mine followers personligt, og det hele ryger i øvrigt direkte på Google. På Facebook skriver jeg kun til mine venner.
Summa summarum: I mit tilfælde udgør twitter og Facebook to ringe med et meget lille overlap. Så jeg beholder s’gu begge dele. Men ellers er jeg enig; jeg ser heller ikke, hvordan der skal blive plads til Buzz i mit liv…

Det indlæg kunne jeg have skrevet. Jeg er helt enig.
Jeg vil kaste mig over Buzz for at prøve det af, men jeg har svært ved at se dem flytte folk.
På Social Media siden er Google laaaaaangt bagefter. De sidste mange forsøg de har gjort sig for at møfle sig ind, synes jeg er faldet til jorden.
Google Connect ser jeg ikke rigtigt mere. Google Wave er der ikke meget positivt om heller.
Klart skal det prøves af, men jeg kan ikke se det hive mig af Twitter.
